A midst all the schemes celebrating fifty years of independence, Sita Holiday Resorts has a special offer for those who were born on or before August 15, 1947 "" a fifty per cent discount on the room tariff and all meals at The Heritage Village, Manesar.

So how do you get there, in case you are eligible? The Heritage Village, Manesar is situated on the New Delhi - Jaipur highway, around 40 minutes drive from Delhis international airport.

And it has eighty centrally air-conditioned rooms equipped with mini-bars,colour televisions, direct dialling facilities and a 24 hour room service.

Apart from a health spa and a gymnasium, it also has facilities for tennis, billiards, swimming, etc. These facilities are being provided at no charge.

Moreover, you can also take along your grandchildren below twelve years for free accommodation and a fifty per cent discount on all meals.

All this sounds fine, but what exactly will a fifty per cent discount amount to?

The normal room rates are Rs 5,000, per night without meals. Now, fifty per cent of that will be Rs 2,500. Add to that the meals cost, which, at fifty per cent should be around Rs 500. So the whole deal works out to Rs 3,000 per night. The offer is valid till September 30, 1997.

One thing that should be noted is that they also have a family package at Rs 3,950 per night with meals. So, its not as big a discount, as it is made out to be.
