With the inter-bank call rates ruling at 5.25 per cent to 5.75 per cent through out the day, banks showed little interest in striking big deals. The prices of the 13.50-per cent central government security continued to hover around the previous day's close. The one year government paper was traded for Rs 20 crore at 13.04 per cent yields. The deal which is to be settled the same day was concluded at Rs 100.50. The 13.50-per cent central government security, maturing in 1998 was traded for Rs 4 crore at Rs 101.25. The deal which is to be settled the same day was dealt at 13.47 per cent yields. Another deal for Rs 5 crore was transacted in the same security at 13.47 per cent yields. The deal was traded at Rs 101.25. The 91-day treasury bill, maturing on September 21 was traded for Rs 10 crore at 6.40 per cent.
