India, thanks to the belligerent hundred from Kohli, which was his maiden in T20I cricket and first since November 2019 in any form of cricket, reached 212-2 even after being asked to bat first by Afghanistan. 

 

Coming in to defend the total. Bhuvneshwar was all over the Afghan batters in the first over itself as he picked two wickets. In his second over he picked two more and then another in his fourth over as he bowled all four on the trot. 

 

It seemed like Afghanistan would be bowled out cheaply when they were reduced to 21-6. Later on, thanks to a fifty from Ibrahim Zadran and non-interested bowling from the Indians, Afghanistan finished at 111-8, eventually losing the match by 101 runs to end their Asia Cup 2022 campaign.
