India will face arch-rivals Pakistan in the marquee clash of the Women's T20 Asia Cup on September 5 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, the Asian Cricket Council announced on Thursday.
The ICC has handed Haris Rauf a two-match ban after Asia Cup 2025 clashes with India. Suryakumar Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah also sanctioned as tensions marred the tournament.
According to sources close to the ACC, the trophy has not been handed over to the Indian team and remains at the council's office under strict instructions
Naqvi clarified his actions during the trophy ceremony at the Dubai International Stadium, revealing that he took the trophy with him after India's team declined to accept it.
Diplomatic efforts are now underway behind the scenes to return the trophy and medals to India, although no official resolution has been confirmed yet.
