The Aussies thrashed the men in blue as they chased down 209 with four balls to spare and four wickets in hand to win the match, lead the three-match series 1-0. 

 

Australia came in with the internet to chase down the total and the two drop catches each of Steve Smith and Cameron Green helped as the duo added 70 for the second wicket. Umesh Yadav brought India back with a double-wicket over in which he removed Smith and Glenn Maxwell. Strangely, Umesh was not utilised after that over. 

 

Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Harshal Patel, both of whom were given the responsibility to bowl in death turned out to be very expensive as Matthew Wade scored 45* (21) and partnered with Tim David for a 62-run stand for the sixth wicket. 

 

Earlier in the evening, India scored 208-6 courtesy of brilliant half centuries 70* (30) by Hardik Pandya and 55 (35) by KL Rahul.
