Boult, who scored a crucial 17* off just nine balls and then went on to dismiss de Kock and Ayush Badoni in one over to give Rajasthan a perfect start in their defence of the total, was rightfully chosen as the Player of the Match. He also saved a lot of runs in the field and came t the field and bowl his last over even when he got injured after his initial spell of three overs.

Trent Boult and Ravichandran Ashwin did exceedingly well first with bat by adding important 26 runs off last 14 balls to take the Rajasthan Royals to a comepetitive total of 178-6 in thier 20 overs and then they picked three wickets among them, giving away just 42 runs in the eight overs that they bowled. 

 

They were the main reason that the Royals were able to beat Lucknow Super Giants by 24 runs and move to the second position in the Points Table. The men in pink now have 16 points which is equal to LSG but thier net run arte is superior, courtesy which they are at the second position behind Gujarat Titans, the teable toppers. 

 

The Lucknow chase was not off to go a start as they lost three wickets in teh Powerplay. Deepak Hooda however built a good partnership with Krunal Pandya to try and get as close to the target as possible. But in teh end, he got out on 59 off 39 balls in the 16th over, leavin Marcus Stonisi with a lot of work to do which he iwas unable to eventually.
