There was no doubt in the fact that Parag would be adjudged as the Player of the Match as he scored a brilliant 56* off just 31 balls and most importantly hit 18 runs in the final over to get his team to 144-8 and give the dressing room a positive outlook coming in to defend the total. He hit three fours and four sixes in his innings. He also took four great catches in the field

Riyan Prag was the hero of the match as Rajasthan Royals beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by 29 runs, defending a low total of 144 successfully. He scored 56* and took four catches on the field as well.

 

Kuldeep Sen was also might impressive with the ball as he removed Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell in two consecutive deliveries. He also took the last wicket to finish with 4-20 in his spell of 3.3 overs. Dinesh Karthik was run out in a dramatic fashion and the rest of the batters just couldn't cope with the spin of Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal. 

 

Earlier in the evening, after being asked to bat first, Rajasthan had two collapses, one at the top and one in the middle, and were struggling at 102-6 in the 16th over with only Riyan Parag left as a recognized batter. Parag was dropped by Hasaranga and he utilized the opportunity to score a brilliant fifty and take his team to 144-8 at the end of 20 overs.
