Taking things match by match has helped the Indian women's team reach the semifinals of the Tokyo Olympics hockey tournament, said chief coach Sjoerd Marijne who promised that his team will continue with the same attitude in the last-four clash with Argentina on Wednesday.
Marijne said the Indian team will be focussing on the task at hand and staying in the moment in their semifinal match.
"It will be a difficult match for us. I think Argentina is a good team. We played them in January and we know that Argentina is a hard team to beat. Their defence is very strong. We have to convert our goal-scoring opportunities like we converted the penalty corner against Australia. It's all about focussing on the task and staying in the moment and being busy with what we have to do well ourselves. I have told all the girls again that it's about putting all the energy you have in the match," Marijne was quoted as saying by Hockey India in a release on Tuesday.
The team led by skipper Rani Rampal will count on its recent experience of playing against the Argentinians during their extensive tour of the country in January 2021.

Asian record holder shot putter Tajinder Pal Singh Toor's Olympic campaign ended miserably as he failed to qualify for the final after finishing 13th in the qualification group A here on Tuesday.
Toor, who had qualified for Olympics with a personal best of 21.49m in the Indian Grand Prix 4 in June, could only manage one legal throw of 19.99m, in his first attempt, to finish at 13th out of 16 competitors.
Competing with a heavily bandaged shoulder, his next two throws were fouls.
The below-par show meant that Toor made an exit even before the start of second qualification.
Those who cleared 21.20m or at least 12 best performers from the two qualifying rounds made the final cut.

Indian wrestler Sonam Malik's debut at the Tokyo Olympic Games ended with a first-round defeat to Mongoli's Khurelkhuugiin Bolortuyaa in the women's 62kg category.
At the Makuhari Messe in Tokyo, Sonam lost to the Asian championship silver medallist on the basis of the 'highest scoring point' rule after the two grapplers were tied 2-2 on points at the end of the bout.
According to international wrestling rules, in case of a stalemate, the winner is decided on the basis of highest scoring move by the wrestler. Khurelkhuugiin executed a two-point takedown in the second period, while Sonam got one point in each of the two halves.
The 19-year-old Sonam's hopes of getting back into the competition through the repechage route were dashed after Khurelkhuugiin lost to the former world champion and second seed Taybe Yusein of Bulgaria in the quaters.
The repechage rule allows grapplers who have lost early in the competition a second chance, should their victor make it to the final.
