Celebration broke out in wrestler Ravi Dahiya's native village on Wednesday after he stormed into the finals of the Tokyo Games to assure India of a fourth Olympic medal.
Dahiya on Wednesday became only the second Indian wrestler to qualify for the title clash at the Olympic Games, when he sensationally turned around the 57kg semifinal bout by pinning Kazakhstan's Nurislam Sanayev.
Soon his family and natives of the 'Nahri' village erupted in joy as they recalled Dahiya's passion for the sport and strong determination to achieve success at the highest level.
Dahiya's father Rakesh was in a jubilant mood and said, "Ravi will win gold, I am confident.
"I cannot express happiness in words," he said turning emotional after his son made a strong comeback to win the bout.
The fourth seeded Indian was trailing 2-9 when Sanayev effected a few 'fitley' (leg lace) moves to pull ahead but as the clock ticked away, Dahiya regrouped and got hold of his rival with a double leg attack that resulted in a victory by fall.

Star shuttler P.V. Sindhu, the only Indian woman to win two Olympic medals, arrived in Hyderabad on Wednesday to a warm welcome by the Telangana government.
Telangana Sports Minister V. Srinivas Goud and other officials accorded a warm welcome to the Tokyo 2020 bronze medalist on her return to her home town. She had won silver in the last Olympics.
Accompanied by her parents and Korean coach Park Tae-sang, Sindhu reached Hyderabad from New Delhi, where she had landed on Tuesday.
As soon as she emerged out of the passenger terminal building at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, her relatives, friends and well wishers greeted her.
Sporting her trademark smile and proudly displaying the Olympic medal, Sindhu posed for dozens of photo and video journalists.
The reigning world champion Sindhu, who had won a silver at the Rio Games five years ago, told reporters that she was very happy over winning another Olympic medal.
"I will continue to work hard in the coming days to win more awards and rewards," she said.
The shuttler thanked the state government and all authorities concerned for extending all the help to her.

Australia's women's soccer team has already made team history at the Tokyo Games.
Now the Matildas want more.
The Australians have reached the medal round for the first time ever at an Olympics. They'll face the United States in Kashima on Thursday for the bronze medal.
The Matildas have no intention of going home empty-handed in the team's bid for a medal.
"Unless we go home with something around our neck, it's going to be a disappointment for us, forward Sam Kerr told reporters.
The Australians have an added incentive: They're gearing up as co-hosts of the 2023 Women's World Cup. A medal no matter the color elevates the team in advance of the tournament.
The Americans, meanwhile, are hoping to salvage what has largely been a disappointing tournament.

The "stupendous" performance of India's hockey teams is one of the things people will remember the Tokyo Olympics for, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Wednesday soon after the women's team went down fighting in the semifinal against Argentina.
Both the men's as well as the women's teams remain in contention for the bronze medal. The men's team had also lost in the semifinals.
In a tweet, Modi said, "One of the things we will remember Tokyo 2020 for is the stupendous performance by our hockey teams. Today and through the Games, our women's hockey team played with grit and showcased great skill. Proud of the team. Best of luck for the game ahead and for future endeavours."
A brave Indian women's hockey team put up a gritty performance but it was not enough to secure a maiden Olympic final berth as it lost 1-2 to world number two Argentina in a hard-fought semifinal of the ongoing Olympic Games on Wednesday.
