Hewlett-Packard (HP) on Thursday launched HP Converged Cloud, a hybrid delivery approach towards cloud computing, based on a common architecture spanning traditional information technology, private, managed and public clouds.
Converged Cloud brings together the company’s converged infrastructure, converged management and security, converged information and hardened openstack technology.
HP Cloud Services will deliver its initial offering, HP Public Infrastructure as a service, as a public beta starting May 10.
“HP Converged Cloud enables enterprises to incorporate a blend of public, private and managed cloud services with their existing IT to create a seamless hybrid environment that rapidly adapts to their changing requirements,” said Neelam Dhawan, managing director, HP India.
HP will also launch a marketplace that would be similar to Apple’s Appstore.
