Infosys Technologies has expanded its alliance with Sterling Commerce, an AT&T company, to target customers in the financial services and retail industries, an Infosys statement said today.
Both companies will further leverage their domain expertise in banking, manufacturing and retail to target these sectors, Infosys said.
Infosys has been implementing Sterling's business collaboration suite for customers in the traditional target areas of manufacturing, banking, telecommunications and life sciences.
Infosys has implemented the Sterling Selling and Fulfillment Suite for customers like Lifetouch National School Studios in the US to bring together data on customers on the selling side and order pipelines, inventory of images and lab capacity on the fulfillment side.
C Kakal, senior vice-president of enterprise solutions, Infosys Technologies, said in a statement that Infosys presently has the largest number of consultants trained on Sterling Commerce technology.
"Our work with Sterling Commerce has been growing at nearly 23 per cent annually over the past five years and is a key contributor in enabling Infosys to expand its presence in the e-commerce and supply chain management markets," Kakal said.
Sterling Commerce provides solutions for enterprise integration, multi-enterprise integration, payments management, selling, and fulfillment to over 30,000 customers globally. The company has a implementation and domain expertise partnership with Infosys in place for over a decade.
