The BPO unit in Nashik, which is LSPL's first unit in Maharashtra and the second in India, is in the Satpur area of Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) in Nashik.
LSPL has close to 150 employees at its Bangalore unit. Lake Systems is a leading national outsourcer offering data transcription and document management services to hospitals, multi-specialty clinics and individual physicians in the UK, the US and Australia.
Speaking to Business Standard, Pratibha Nakil, Director, LSPL, said, "We have commenced a medical transcription BPO unit at Nashik with a headcount of 38. We have leased a 3,500 sq ft property in Satpur area of MIDC, Nashik. The company has invested around Rs 40 lakh so far in Nashik unit. We plan to increase the strength of Nashik unit from 38 people to 100 people in the next four or six months. We will build our own facility at Nashik if we get adequate skilled manpower here."
"Opening of a BPO centre in Nashik is part of our expansion plans. We want to grow very fast. We will gradually increase the strength at both Bangalore and Nashik unit. The company, with the opening of its second unit at Nashik, has set the 60 per cent growth target for the present fiscal year," Nakil said.
"The company's major focus is on medical transcription and its most of the clients are in the US and Australia. Extending the client base is our prime goal," she said.
