| The company is also in talks with Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and other educational institutes to use their base and satellite for their distance learning educational programmes. MCBS, being one of the leading manufacturers of direct-to-home (DTH) products, is planning to introduce two-way DTH and WIMAX technology. |
| "We are developing Set Top Box (STB) technology for a variety of applications including 'Home Gateways' which will make homes, the offices of tomorrow. This product range will bring information, education and entertainment within the reach of all sections of society," said Jain. |
| Edusat can take care of the learning needs of students in the formal system as well as people outside the formal structure of education including the dropouts, unenrolled persons and groups such as farmers, artisans, artists, fishermen, health workers, rural community workers, home-makers and senior citizens. |
