With its enterprise resource planning (ERP) making further inroads among small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Gujarat, Microsoft's business in the state has been growing at around 40 per cent. The software giant, hence, is expecting more business to generate in the state in near future.

Intech Systems Pvt. Ltd., an Ahmedabad-based Microsoft partner firm, also announced expansion plans in its ERP offering to focus on SMEs in Gujarat. The company which is working in partnership with Microsoft for over seven years now has decided to expand its offering of end-to-end solutions on Dynamics NAV, AX and SharePoint platform for the manufacturing and oil and gas verticals. "We are also looking at other verticals like telecom and micro verticals in manufacturing for expansion of ERP offerings," Ashok Mehta, managing director, Intech Systems Pvt. Ltd.
Talking further about Microsoft's focus on Gujarat, Sengupta said, "Our focus for Gujarat is to empower the business units with world-class ERP and CRM solutions, who are otherwise unable to avail real benefits due to use of low-end offerings . The core value proposition of Microsoft Dynamics is great business agility, efficiency and insight coupled with ease of use and quick ROI which complements the dynamics nature of the enterprises and SME's. Intech's offering combines the synergies of Microsoft’s global best practices and Intech’s industry expertise to reach out to the manufacturing and oil and gas industry."
Apart from ERP solutions, Intech Systems also plans to offer cloud based computing services to its clients by next year. "In addition, we plan to add Microsoft CRM to our product portfolio by the year-end and to offer cloud computing services in near future," said Mehta.
Intech Systems currently services clients in manufacturing sector and oil and gas sectors like John Energy and Voltemp. The company, which has 12 clients and 75 installations, plans to add three clients every quarter in the segment.
