Mobien Technologies, a provider of enterprise mobility solutions for last mile connectivity is looking at alliances with enterprise resource planning (ERP) vendors, handset manufacturers and service providers to expand its footprint.

Founded in 2003 by Logitech Systems India, Mobien Technologies recently launched iNotify, a mobile solution that integrates an organisation's enterprise resource planning (ERP) system with the mobile communication devices used by field staff using commonly available infrastructure like global system for mobile communications (GSM) and code division multiple access (CDMA).

iNotify works with over 80 per cent of the handsets available in the market, including the Nokia series 40/ 60/ 80 phones. It is compatible with ERP solutions Oracle and SAP and can work with any mobile platform "" GSM, Edge and others "" to give enterprises a two-way real-time network.

The company recently announced a strategic alliance with ERP services company Intelligroup Asia. It has also been identified by Nokia as its Nokia Pro Enterprise Mobility application and would be marketed with its phones in India, Singapore, China and Malaysia.

"We are in talks with Microsoft and Idea besides three ERP players in India and one SAP ERP company in the US to increase our footprint," Ajit Gokhale, managing director, Mobien Technologies, said.

The company has clients like ITC, Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Dr Reddy's. "We have done nine deployments in India and four in UAE till date and expect to do at least 20-25 deployments this fiscal year," Gokhale said.

The company has recorded revenues of $6,00,000 in FY 2006-07 and is looking for venture capital funding to sustaining its growth plans.

"We are in talks with venture capitalists for our funding requirements for the next three years," Gokhale said.

On the cards is expansion to Europe, US and Middle East. Also "Our Pune operations will grow from 42 people to over a 160 people in 2007," he said.
