Palo Alto Networks, a firewalls company, has tied up with Ahmedabad based Virtual NetComm, an IT security products provider as a distributor for India.

According to Rajendra Shah, director and group CEO, VNPL, "Legacy firewalls are no longer an effective security solution to manage the risks and rewards of today’s Internet applications in the enterprise. With Palo Alto Next Generation Firewalls, enterprises can have complete visibility and control of applications and content, while significantly reducing total cost of ownership."

“I am pleased to appoint VNPL as our distributor for the India region and will leverage their strong channel / customer coverage in the local market”, said PK Lim, vice president— sales, Asia Regions, Palo Alto Networks.

Founded by security expert Nir Zuk, Palo Alto offer real innovation in the firewall by enabling unprecedented visibility and control of applications and content – by user, not just IP address – at up to 10Gbps with no performance degradation.

VNPL is the flagship company of Ahmedabad-based Virtual Group, a company offering IT security solutions. Established in 1998, the group has offices at Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai with overseas operations at Singapore, UK and Dubai.
