Cellebrum.com Private Ltd has developed a software that can enable users to save personal information in the content uploader.

The information, saved by the mobile service provider, would be accessible to the subscriber even if the handset was lost.

Talking to Business Standard, Cellebrum.com Private Ltd Chief Executive Officer Saket Aggarwal said the average life span of a handset was about a year because the technological innovation made the device obsolete very fast. And whether the set became obsolete or was stolen, the important information stored in it is lost. With the help of the new content uploader the information would be permanently stored.

"It is a foolproof system because the information would be uploaded automatically without manual intervention. The user would be given a password to access the information," he added.

This new service from Cellebrum would enable users to take a complete back-up of the content on their phone, including contacts, calendar, ring tones, video and other data and recover this data in case their phone is lost.

Aggarwal said negotiations were on with two telecom service providers in India to market the product.

"As every player wants exclusivity of the product we would not negotiate with many," he said.

The application can upload and update single and multiple contacts and content on to the server.
