Satyam Computer Services Limited, a global consulting and IT services provider, announced that they have entered into a global alliance agreement with US-based Meridian Systems to provide professional information technology and implementation services to new and existing users of Proliance.

Proliance is Meridian's infrastructure lifecycle management solution, a press release said. The solution serves large business enterprises that rely on physical infrastructure to deliver their core business, whether that infrastructure is manufacturing facilities, retail outlets, commercial buildings or transportation systems.

Satyam solution engineers have already begun training on Proliance and plan to establish and maintain a Proliance development environment to support several active customers.

Balaji Senthiappan, general manager of Satyam's global real estate and construction practice, said, "Our customers are seeking integrated solutions built on the latest in service-oriented architecture. Analyst firm IDC estimates that more than $3.5 trillion in capital infrastructure projects are underway globally, creating an addressable infrastructure lifecycle management (ILM) software services market of $3.2 billion by 2008. Proliance represents an exciting evolution in enterprise solutions that handle this massive infrastructure market."

Satyam's global real estate and construction practice focuses on providing information technology solutions and services to real estate companies, large production homebuilders besides facilities management service providers.
