| Cranes Software Bangalore-based Cranes Software International (CSIL) today announced the acquisition of US-based Engineering Technology Associates, marking its foray into the lucrative Chinese auto market, and said it will invest about Rs 72 crore in this initiative. |
| The acquisition of the specialised auto consulting and product development firm was done through Cranes' subsidiary Cranes Software, the company said in a statement. |
| "This acquisition also gives Cranes access to the lucrative Asian markets and thereby expand the operations of the Chinese design centre by forming alliances with leading car manufacturers for end-to-end design and development specifications," CSIL MD Asif Khader said. |
| The company would pump in about Rs 72 crore to operationalise its market reach by exploring cross-sell and up-sell opportunities. |
| The company would take its existing product range to ETA's client base and help promote its CAE business across the globe, the statement added. |
