| The company has also announced signing of a three-year IT infrastructure management services deal with NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Communications) of Japan for an undisclosed sum. |
| Shiva Ramani, chief executive officer, SlashSupport told Business Standard that the company saw good growth potential in the infrastructure management services business and hoped to garner a revenue of $50 million from this segment alone over the next three years. A significant portion of the revenue of the company is expected to come from the NTT Communications deal. |
| "At present, SlashSupport, part of the US-headquartered Cybernet Software Systems Group, having offshore facilities in Chennai, has about six clients in the infrastructure management services segment. A few more deals are in the pipeline," he added. |
| The company plans to hire about 500 professionals, specifically for infrastructure management services business over the next 12 months. |
| SlashSupport's deal with NTT Communications Corporation, the global data and IP services arm of the Nippon Telegraph & Telephone Corporation, one of the world's leading telecommunications companies, involves supporting the desktop management requirements as well as the infrastructure management requirements of NTT Com and its customers globally. |
| Ramani said many companies reported huge business loss due to server and other IT infrastructure failures, especially in the case of online applications. |
| The 24/7 infrastructure support by SlashSupport to NTT Communications would ensure reliability and security leading to a better response time and productivity, he added. |
| The offshoring of its IT infrastructure management services to SlashSupport is likely to result in a cost savings of 35-50 per cent for NTT Communications. |
