Tata Indicom eyeing market share of 10% in Kerala

Tata Indicom, private telecom service provider, today launched new offers for mobile customers, aiming to touch a market share of 10 per cent during this year    

Presently,it has 6.5 per cent market share in the state with a customer base of 6.7 lakh, Chief Operating Officer, Tata Teleservices, Kerala circle, Surya Mahadevan, told a press meet here.

The operator has 521 BTS (Base Terminal stations) and plans to add 31 more this year with eight this month alone, he said.   

To woo more customers, Tata Indicom launched new offers for existing and potential pre-paid mobile customers in Kerala during the Onam festival.  

Under the offer, the customers can enjoy sending free SMSs during the festival season which will be valid for 30 days from the day of the activation, he said.   

New prepaid mobile customers can avail the exciting offer under the Go Life scheme which comes with MRP of rs 299 or Go Special scheme priced at rs 199 which enables 300 and 200 free local SMSs respectively.   

Existing prepaid mobile customers will get free SMS equivalent to the value of recharge.   

For every mobile connection purchased, a twin DVD pack containing six hit Malayalam films of leading actors, including Mamootty, Mohanlal and Dileep will be given along with every connection.The offer is valid till September 10.
