WeP Peripherals expanding Mysore facility

Mysore is expanding fast and so is WeP Peripherals expanding its Mysore facilities. According to WeP's Senior General Manager Operations and Exports S Nagarjuna said WeP was expanding its Mysore centre with customised R&D, enquiries on printing solutions and sales.
 
Nagarjuna, "We want to move more of the operations into the centralised facility from Bangalore."
 
WeP Peripherals Ltd is one of the largest employee-owned companies providing IT peripherals products, solutions and printing services.
 
It has diversified from printers to other emerging IT peripheral products, namely UPS and networking products and has strengthened its portfolio of printers by introducing laser printers, designed and manufactured in the 4,600-square Mysore facility.
 
Besides, the 500-plus employee facility in Mysore, it has another centre at Nalagarh (Himachal Pradesh).
 
With a manufacturing capacity of over 6.5 lakh products and a million consumables per annum, WeP has built up a sales network of 14,272 resellers and 16,159 retailers. Its sales last year was $80 million, Senior Manager CMF&OM Narendra Babu said.
 
After expansion of its export, WeP has become the largest player for dot matrix printers in the European market, in Germany, UK and France. Business in China is expanding with export of 50,000 printers.
 
The present export figure of 3-4 per cent is expected to cross 10 per cent, with aggressive marketing, Nagarjuna said.
 
WeP Peripherals, one of the three major players in dot matrix printers, rolled out its latest high speed impact printers capable of printing a thousand characters per second.
 
With 710 pages per hour and, 24 pin and 136 column features, it is the fastest dot matrix printer in its class.
 
Priced around Rs 1 lakh, the WeP HQ 2100 is suited for multi-user networked application needs printing more pages at a lesser time.
 
The unique feature of the product is its performance with highest uptime in its segment.
