According to Denzil de Souza, managing director, Writer Corporation, "The company has taken the decision to expand as it has witnessed a growth in business from Karnataka in 2005 and in anticipation of the increased business expected from the state through 2006, Writer Corporation is investing an additional Rs 10 crore."
To support the steady growth in India to cater to global needs, Writer, based out of Mumbai, will invest about Rs 500 crore over the next five years into service product offerings like Rs 150 crore for relocations, logistics, information, records and cash management, Rs 250 crore in hospitality and Rs 100 crore in expansion of international markets.
Consequently, the company has felt the need to expand the facility, with special focus on media back-up storage and disaster management for sectors like IT, ITeS and finance. These core sectors are increasingly realising the value of keeping huge volumes of invaluable data back-ups with off-centre data management experts.
"Our record storage operations in Bangalore have witnessed a strong demand from customers in Bangalore and rest of the state, including an enhanced interest in our specialised services like disaster planning and recovery. Our aim is to offer our clients a complete basket of information management products to meet all their needs at one source," said de Souza.
