Skipper Ltd, a flagship company of the Kolkata-based SK Bansal Group, has inaugurated a new polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipes manufacturing plant at Medak district of Telengana. The new plant, with capacity of 6,000 metric tonnes (MT), will take the company’s combined installed capacity for PVC products to 41000 MT. This is Skipper’s fifth manufacturing unit for PVC products after Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Guwahati and Sikandrabad (UP).

In February this year, Skipper Ltd commissioned manufacturing facility for PVC products at Sikandrabad (Uttar Pradesh) with a capacity of about 8,000 metric tonne.

New plants are part of the company’s plan to raise the capacity of PVC products to over 40,000 tonnes by the end of 2016 and then take the total capacity to 100,000 TPA by FY 2018.
