We’re seeing the build-up of plastic waste and single-use materials all around us. With that, it’s important that brands take steps to protect our planet but still ensure that they can sustainably meet the needs of a growing consumer base.

One brand that caught our attention was Ombré Men (@ombremen), they are working hard to promote sustainability through their men's personal care line. One way they’re doing this is through social media. Platforms like Twitter and Instagram provide a powerful tool for spreading awareness about environmental issues and more, sustainability solutions. They have created a community of a like-minded followers that want to care for their skin, hair, and personal wellness, all while supporting the sustainable products and practices that Ombré Men offers.

They have shared their company ethos on Instagram which briefly highlights their ESG (environmental, social, and governance) beliefs. They're making sustainable cool. With design-forward and aesthetically pleasing graphics and video content, the brand aims to educate consumers while still managing to offer effective personal care products. They offer a full line of men's personal care items, available in single purchase or convenient subscription service. Their nature-derived personal care products include shaving creams, moisturizers, cleansers, anti-aging, hair care, body care marketed to men with masculine packaging, and natural, essential-oil-infused aromas.

Ombré Men's social media platforms are a great way to stay up-to-date on the latest news and events. But they're also much more than that.  They want Ombré Men to be more than just a business; they want it to be a movement that inspires people to take action on sustainability. Their social media platforms provide the perfect opportunity to do just that. In fact, their combined social media accounts have grown to over 100,000 followers in less than a year. With the help of some of the partners, like PGA Tour golfer Abraham Ancer and marketing partner Josh Tarin, the brand has no intentions of slowing down their social media campaigns and efforts.

The team hasn't stopped at just offering men's products. In 2022, the brand dropped hints via their social media, about Ombré Her, a brand focussed on women's personal care, and Ombré Baby, a brand focussed on children's personal care — both with the same high-quality and sustainable standards.

As social media platforms continue to grow in popularity, so too does the potential for brands to spread awareness about their environmental and social initiatives.  Sustainability is quickly becoming a top priority for many consumers, and it is important for brands to notice and inspire their audience to do the same.
