'INDIA bloc will defeat BJP on all 80 seats in UP': Shivpal Yadav launches poll campaign in Badaun

Samajwadi Party leader Shivpal Singh Yadav on Thursday started his Lok Sabha poll campaign in Badaun in western Uttar Pradesh with a 'Jan Sampark Yatra' and claimed that the INDIA bloc will defeat the BJP on all 80 seats in the state. Yadav, who has been fielded by his party from Badaun Lok Sabha seat, also said that the ruling BJP is not finding a candidate against him.

BJP raising CAA to divert people's attention: Congress MP Nakul Nath

Congress MP Nakul Nath today said the ruling BJP was bringing up issues like NRC (National Register of Citizens), CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act) and Article 370 ahead of the General Elections to divert the attention of people. The son of senior leader and former chief minister Kamal Nath, he won the Lok Sabha election from Chhindwara and has been re-nominated from the seat by the opposition party. "It is politics of diverting people's attention. The BJP is misleading the public. They are not talking about issues concerning the people but about NRC, CAA, Article 370 to divert attention," he told news agency PTI.

Supreme Court seeks response of Ajit Pawar faction on plea of Sharad Pawar group on 'misuse' of name

The top court today sought a response of the Nationalist Congress Party faction led by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on a petition of the Sharad Pawar group alleging misuse of his name and pictures for political gains. The Supreme Court bench instructed the Ajit Pawar faction to file its response by Saturday to Sharad Pawar's plea and fixed it for further hearing on March 19.

Congress announces names of 82 candidates so far
