The Indian Secular Front (ISF) held a protest on Sunday in the Bhangar region of South 24 Parganas district, West Bengal, demanding justice in the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital rape-murder case.
The protesters called for the punishment of the culprits and demanded the resignation of West Bengal's Health Minister.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) announced its first list of seven candidates for the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections on Sunday.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Sunday announced a financial aid of Rs 5 lakh to the families of those from Jalgaon who lost their lives in a bus accident in Nepal, which claimed 27 lives in western Nepal on Friday. Earlier in the day, expressing his grief over the accident, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the Indian government immediately contacted the Nepalese authorities following the incident.

Reacting on the Unified Pension Scheme (UPS), Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Sanjay Singh criticised the scheme, stating that it is even worse than the National Pension System (NPS), and called for the restoration of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS). In a scathing attack on Sunday, Singh accused the central government of deceiving the nation's employees, highlighting that the scheme involves a 10 per cent salary deduction and excludes paramilitary forces from its provisions.
