Earlier this month New York state attorney general Eric Schneiderman resigned from office after four women who had been romantically involved with him accused him of physical assault. The women said that  Schneiderman used to slap them hard across the face, choke them and call them demeaning names. In the age of #MeToo this was yet another instance of a man with power and influence being held to account for his abuse and exploitation of women.
