Power transmission and distribution gear maker Alstom T&D today said it has bagged orders worth Rs 100 crore from Power Grid Corporation.
"Alstom T&D India bagged two contracts worth 12.5 million euro (Rs 100 crore) awarded by Power Grid Corporation of India," the company said in a statement.
Alstom will supply its energy management system (EMS) to enable reliable, secure and efficient operation of the electric power system, it said.
"This second wave of upgrades for the regional centres will significantly improve the operational efficiency and increase power flow across the Indian grid, particularly after the integration of Southern grid into the national grid (expected in 2014)," said Rathin Basu, Managing Director, Alstom T&D India Ltd.
