E-commerce major Amazon emerged as the top recruiter in cluster two of the summer internship placement process at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
Amazon made 25 offers across six roles.
Cluster two of the summer internship placement process for the flagship PGP batch of 2016 - 2018 comprised of five cohorts including consumer goods, consumer services, general management and leadership, retail B2B & B2C and pharma & healthcare.
Apart from Amazon, the retail B2B & B2C cohort saw Zilingo recruiting students for business development, product management, operations, marketing and sales strategy & growth roles. Recruiters in the General Management cohort included Conglomerates such as Aditya Birla Group, Mahindra and Tata Administrative Services (TAS) which offered leadership roles to students.
In the Consumer Goods and Services cohort, major recruiters like Coca Cola, General Mills, Hindustan Unilever, ITC, Marico, Mondelez, and Procter & Gamble, among others made offers for summer internships.
The first cluster of the Summer Internship Placement process for the PGP batch of 2016-18 at IIM-A had comprised of six cohorts including management consulting, advisory consulting, niche consulting, investment banking, markets and PE, VC and hedge funds.
More than 40 firms had participated in cluster one, of which Accenture Strategy had emerged as the top recruiter with 17 offers, followed by other prominent recruiters such as Bain & Co., Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Barclays, Citibank, McKinsey & Co., Morgan Stanley, Strategy&, and The Boston Consulting Group.
