DC Design, owned by automobile customisation expert Dilip Chhabria is now eying business class bus market which is a new segment emerging in the country.
"Luxury transport is rapidly improving with various new technology adoptions and growing requirements of comfort travelling. The transport infrastructure in India is also improving. Many tour operators have started business class bus service in Gujarat, Punjab and Karnataka. These buses are equipped with wider seats, private television screens and a host of amenities such as a pantry and rest room and Wi-Fi connection and projectors", said Dillip Chhabria in Pune today.
DC Design is expanding its range of design studios across the country from the current eight to 13 in the next six months. In Pune to launch Aadivenoo Motors, the city's first DC Design showroom, Chhabria said four more will come up in Noida, Ludhiana, Chandigarh and Delhi by the year-end.

Adding further he said, "Internationally this segment enjoys a 3- 4% market share as it is a very niche segment. India also in a few years has the potential to witness this kind of a market share. We foresee a good response from Pune and surrounding area and thus we plan to introduce 8-10 new models each year. We have already ventured into the Business Class feel for the Bus Segment and will continue the same as this segment is also on the rise, although it cannot be compared to the car segment in terms of volume, it can be done so in terms of value."
DC Design has manufacturing units in Chinchwad Mumbai and Delhi and will soon open the one in Talegaon. The dealership will offer complete customizations from the ground-up for select cars and buses along with standard transformation products for popular vehicles such as the Toyota Innova & Fortuner, Renault Duster, Mahindra XUV500, Nissan Sunny & Evalia, Hyundai i20, Maruti Swift and Honda City.
