Dcgi Panel Rules Out Bar On Nimesulide

The cloud of uncertainty over sales of anti-inflammatory drug nimesulide was dispelled today with a committee of the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) ruling that the drug will not be banned in India.
Also, the minister of state for chemicals and fertilisers, Chhatrapal Singh, informed the Lok Sabha today that the drug has been cleared by a majority of experts and that no serious adverse reaction was reported even in children.
