DyStar Group and Arvind Limited have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in the field of denim. In 2010, DyStar Group was acquired by Ahmedabad-based Kiri Dyes and Chemicals Limited (KDCL).
As per the agreement, DyStar Indigo Vat 40% solution will be used at all Arvind Denim manufacturing facilities. Dedicated teams from DyStar and Arvind Limited denim division will work closely together to implement new technologies in indigo dyeing and finishing as well as develop new products, processes and effects for denim fabrics and garments.
The MoU was signed on June 21, 2013, between Harry Dobrowolski, DyStar's CEO and Sanjay Lalbhai, chairman and managing director of Arvind Ltd.
Apart from use of DyStar Indigo 40% solution at all Arvind denim manufacturing facilities, the agreement states implementation of new technologies developed by DyStar at Arvind facilities as well as joint development of new products, processes and effects for denim fabrics and garments.
