Srinivas Baratam has joined Kriscore Financial Advisors, a boutique investment bank started by K Balakrishnan, managing director (MD) of Lazard India.
He has resigned as the managing partner of private equity firm Quadria Investment Management (formerly Milestone Religare).
Baratam had worked with Lazarad between 2008 and 2010 as the head of private equity (PE) for India. After Lazard India wound up its PE operations, Baratam got shifted to corporate finance division as MD. Baratam worked for 18 months there before joining Milestone in 2011. Baratam was with UTI Ventures for four years (2004-08).

Quadria Capital had acquired Milestone Religare -- a 50:50 joint venture between Religare Enterprises and Milestone Capital Advisors — in March 2013. Milestone Capital had been looking for potential buyers after its founder Ved Prakash Arya died in a freak accident in August 2011.
Balakrishnan, popularly known as Bala, has confirmed the appointment of Baratam. “He is the first senior level appointment. We plan to have a team of six to eight members,” he said.
Kriscore was launched recently with a temperory office in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) in Mumbai. By early next year, the team will be shifted to a new office in The Capital in BKC.
According to Bala, cross-border deals are the primary focus of the firm. Kriscore has iniated discussions with a global boutique bank for a partnership with diluting a monrity stake.
