A study undertaken by Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC) has stated that the economic crisis has moderately impacted most German investors in India.

The managers have reposed faith in India’s market potential and want to increase their India investments. Also, "many German companies plan to ramp up their offshore activities and plan to build up more R&D capacities in India," said the survey.

Managers from 100 companies participated in the survey, in which they described India is a core growth market in which they have strong confidence.

While 61 per cent of the managers said they felt moderately affected by the economic turmoil, 18 per cent said they are not affected at all.

“Our survey confirms that India weathers the global crisis reasonably well,” according to IGCC director-general Bernhard Steinruecke.
