The internet search giant has chosen 24 start-ups for the fifth edition of its mentorship programme. Here's a brief profile of three of the four Indian start-ups that have made it. These were shortlisted on unique value proposition and use of technologies like machine learning and AI:

m.Paani: Bringing the brands, retailers and consumers together

Brands and retailers often face barriers in getting to know and connect with their customers with the right product and in incentivising them. Doing so is imperative, as it helps the brands and their retailers and manufacturers to give quality service and products. Mumbai-based m.Paani is trying to bridge the gap. SocialCops aims to help any organisation confront critical problems with data and technology. Founded by Prukalpa Sankar and Varun Banka in 2013, it raised $320,000 in 2014, in which Google India Managing Director (MD) Rajan Anandan, Frost & Sullivan APAC MD Manoj Menon and 500 Startups participated.
