Greaves Cotton to grow engine business

Greaves Cotton is aiming for growth in its engine business and is rolling out new gensets for users like hotels, hospitals and shopping malls.
The company's engine division a grew 8% last year and the company is looking for technology partnerships in engines and end products in farm, construction and genset space to fast track product development.
"With a huge power deficit in India auxilliary power solutions need to be fuel efficient, rugged and versatile. Our endeavour is to roll out products that are best suited to perform under demanding power conditions in India,'' said Prakash Bhalekar, company's head for auxilliary power business during the launch of new gensets today.
