H & R Johnson, Silica JV to set up a tile manufacturing facility

Bathroom solutions provider H & R Johnson today said it has entered into a 50:50 joint venture with Silica Ceramica to set up a tile manufacturing facility at Eluru in Andhra Pradesh with an initial investment of Rs 50 crore.

Silica Ceramica will manufacture vitrified tiles and H & R Johnson will market the products through its distribution network, the company said in a statement.

The investment amount of the project stands at Rs 50 crore and commercial production is expected to commence by January next year.

Set up in 1958, H & R Johnson is a leading player in bathroom products. Its revenue in the last financial year totalled Rs 1,030 crore.
