Hathway elevates Jayaraman, appoints Jagdish Kumar as MD & CEO

Kumar movies in from TIL, where he was president of the media and entertainment business

Hathway Cable & Datacom board has eleavted K Jayaraman, current MD and CEO to the position of vice chairman with immediate effect. To fill in the position of Jayaraman, the company has appointed Jagdish Kumar G PiIlai.

Jagdish Kumar moves in from Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), where he was president of the media and entertainment business.

Before RIL, Kumar worked with STAR India for 16-year in different capacities. He was also on the board of Hathway Cable & Datacom as a representative from STAR, which had a 17.3 per cent stake in the cable company.

Earlier this year,  STAR sold its entire holding in Hathway by for Rs 358 crore.
