Hero talks inconclusive

Wage talks between the management and agitating workers at Hero MotoCorp’s Gurgaon unit remained inconclusive on Friday. The union members will now meet on Saturday to decide on sterner action, which might include a hunger strike or stopping production work. An office bearer of Hero MotoCorp Workers’ Union said, “The management refused to budge.” A spokesperson at HeroMotoCorp said, “We will continue to engage with the union to reach at a settlement. Our operations continue to function normally. We believe our union will continue to demonstrate responsible behaviour. It has agreed to an extra day’s work in lieu of February 21, when and if the need arises."
