Hilton Worldwide today announced it will introduce the Hilton Garden Inn brand in Kerala with the opening of a hotel at Thiruvananthapuram on 27 December. Located in the city centre on Punnen Road, Hilton Garden Inn is a 20-minute drive from the airport and 12 km from the IT Technopark at Kazhakkoottam.
"The opening of Hilton in Kerala will be a significant step in the group's worldwide expansion into prime city centre locations across India, said Guy Hutchinson, vice president, operations - India, Hilton Worldwide. "India is a key strategic market for us. At present, we operate hotels and resorts including in Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Chennai, Vadodara, Pune and Goa. Over the next 8-10 months, we anticipate extending our portfolio to include Bangalore, Agra and Jaipur," he added.
The property is owned by Muthoot Hotels & Infrastructure Ventures (P) Ltd and managed by Hilton Worldwide.
