IPL AUCTION UPDATE: No takers for Laxman

Ace batsman V V S Laxman, who came in for a great deal of flak for his poor performance in the recent test series with Australia, went unsold in the IPL Auction today.

Among the other auction results, Chennai Super kings bought cricketer Ravindra Jadeja for as much as $2 million (RS9.72 crore) in the IPL auction. In fact, both Chennai Super Kings and Deccan Chargers had bid $2 million for Jadeja, but CSK won in tie-breaker.

Meanwhile, Mahela Jayawardene was bought by Delhi Daredevils for $1.4 million, and Brendan McCullam bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for $900,000.
