Jet wins first BML Munjal award

Naresh Goyal, chairman of Jet Airways, received the first BML Munjal Award for excellence in learning & development in the private sector category from civil aviation minister Praful Patel at a special function in New Delhi on January 6, 2006.

"I am delighted to receive the award on behalf of all my colleagues in Jet Airways, particularly the front line staff who deliver our product and service smilingly often under difficult and stressful situations," Goyal said.

According to a release issued by Jet to the BSE today, the awards ceremony was organised as part of Hero Mindmine Institute's summit - Emerging Business Challenges: Search for Winning Responses.

"The chairman of the jury was Deepak Parekh, chairman of HDFC.  Other members of the jury included Mrs. Shobana Bhartia of the HT Group, Arun Maria of BCG, Ajay Sriram of DSCL, Dr. Vinayshil Gautam of IIT Delhi, Tarun Das of CII and Sunil Munjal of Hero Mindmine Institute," the release added.
