The Kingfisher Airlines today spread its wings in the international skies by launching its maiden direct overseas flight from Bangalore to London.
Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel flagged off the non-stop flight (IT 01) and boarded the aircraft, accompanied by Vijay Mallya, CEO, Kingfisher, prior to the departure this morning.
The flight, which would be a daily service, had on board invitees of Kingfisher, passengers and a media team.
