L&T Construction, a part of the Mumbai-based engineering and construction major Larsen and Toubro has won orders valued over Rs 2,080 crore across various business segments in February and March 2013.
The building and factories business bagged new orders worth Rs 1,385 crore for the construction of residential towers in cities in North India, a release from the company stated.
The Power Transmission and Distribution business has won new orders aggregating to Rs 585 crore from various customers. A major order was secured from Bangalore Metrorail Corporation for electrical and mechanical work for seven underground stations and associated tunnels sections of North-South and East-West corridors of BMRC Phase-I.
For the Power Grid Corporation of India, L&T will contruct 400kv double circuit transmission line between Kuruksetra - Jallandhar and a 400 kv double circuit transmission line for Abdullapur - Sonepat at Kuruksetra associated with WR- NR HVDC interconnector.
