M-health, medical information on mobiles, is the next thing to happen. The mobile phone could be a vital link in a situation where there is a shortage of medicos and paramedics. Efforts should be made to create a national electronic medical records repository, according to Apollo Hospitals Group executive director (operations) Sangita Reddy.

Speaking on ‘Quality healthcare for all: Emerging challenges and solutions’ at HealthCon 09 here on Wednesday, Reddy said this would ensure better treatment in rural areas.
