M&M tractor sales rise 28% in May

Auto major Mahindra & Mahindra's Farm Equipment Sector (FES) division today reported a 27.82 per cent growth in tractor sales in May to 17,256 units.

The company had sold 13,500 units during the same month last year, the company said in a statement.

Domestic sales grew by 29.04 per cent to 16,608 units against 12,870 units in the year-ago period, it added.

Exports during May stood at 648 units against 630 units in the corresponding month of 2009, an increase of 2.86 per cent.
