The new Business Initiative Office of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) in the city was inaugurated by A N Sahay, CMD in the presence of A K Singh, director (production), K Biswal director (finance).
The new office will house Mahanadi Basin Power Limited, a SPV formed to set up a 1600 Mw power plant at Basundhara in Sundergarh district and Neelanchal Power Transmission Company Pvt Ltd, a JV between MCL & Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Ltd (OPTCL).
