Most of the engineering graduates in Hyderabad are open to taking up jobs in small and medium enterprises (SMEs), according to a survey findings of HR and recruitment services firm TMI Group.
The survey revealed that 98.4 per cent of engineering graduates are willing to work in the SME sector. The survey covered 328 engineering graduates with 0-5 years of work experience.
“The findings come as a relief given the number of engineering graduates adding to the pool of jobseekers every year and recruitment in large companies falling drastically. This is the right time for SMEs to highlight the advantages of working with the SME sector and benefits they provide to their employees, and grab their due share of talent, finally putting an end to their talent woes”, TMI executive chairman, T Muralidharan, stated in a press release on Tuesday.
While 90.8 per cent of the respondents said they believed SMEs were good places to work, 53.96 per cent respondents said large companies were good places to work and 44.8 per cent felt both large companies and SMEs were good options and came with their pros and cons.
