ACT Fibernet’s 1 Gbps wired broadband service would soon be available in the 11 cities the company has presence in.
ACT Fibernet claims to be the largest non-telecommunication internet service provider (ISP). The company takes advantage of fiber optic technology to deliver 1 Gbps broadband speed, which is 400 times faster than the average internet speed.
With a speed of 1 Gbps, the broadband users can download files at a speed faster than transferring data from a USB drive.
“With our citizens and the government moving towards the Digital India movement, high speed internet is the need of the hour. With the launch of our 1 Gbps broadband internet service, it gives me immense pride to turn this dream into reality," said Bala Malladi, CEO, ACT Fibernet
Telangana's Minister for IT K. Taraka Rama Rao said the 1Gbps internet speed offered by ACT in Hyderabad would help fulfil his vision of making Telangana a tech and digitally advanced hub.
